Skate Mentorship - Boys and Girls Club Venice @ The Waterfront

Together with Young Hearts Organization, GRLSWIRL brought skating to The Boys & Girls Club of Venice with a skate filled day at The Waterfront in Venice Beach. 25 young girls from the after school program Smart Girls attended the day. Each young girl was paired up with a GRLSWIRL member, and taught the basics of skateboarding on the Venice boardwalk. After the skate lessons we all gathered inside the Waterfront for a full taco breakfast and friendship circle. We talked about our fears, our accomplishments and our manifestations for the future.

The Boys and Girls Club enables all young people, especially those who need us most, to reach their full potential as productive, caring, responsible citizens.
